This is the largest cycling competition in Brazil and the largest in Latin American. Taking part are significant foreign teams and Brazil’s top national teams. The event’s route includes 19 cities in the state of Rio and 17 teams of the highest level are expected, ten of them being from Brazil, and seven are from other countries.

This Tour of Rio is divided into five stages, in a total of 500 miles.

The starting point is at Barra da Tijuca.

1st - Rio de Janeiro - Angra dos Reis

2nd - Volta Redonda- Três Rios

3rd – Três Rios - Teresopolis

4th - - Teresopolis – Rio das Ostras

5th – Rio das Ostras - Rio de Janeiro
