In its 10th edition, the gallery’s summer exhibit brings together works by new and established artists
Created mostly to bring works by new artists to light, Galeria Silvia Cintra + Box 4’s summer exhibit reaches its 10th edition. The exhibit remains true to its original purpose, while keeping the dialogue going with artists who were part of the history of this showcase.
Art critic Luisa Duarte is the curator for the exhibit, which includes works by artists like Adriano Costa, Clara Ianni, Jimson Vilela and Regina Parra. Pieces by artists from what was dubbed “Generation 2000” are also included in the showcase, such as Cinthia Marcelle, Marcius Galan, Laércio Redondo, Pedro Motta, Sara Ramo and Marilá Dardot.
The 10 artists are divided into three categories: "Artists represented by the gallery who were already part of the summer exhibit", "Guests who were already part of the summer exhibit, but are not part of the gallery" and new artists. A fourth category was created especially for Marilá Dardot, from Minas, who brings her piece "La Luna Blanda" (2012, photo triptych) to the exhibit, and for Sara Ramo.
