Unmissable Rio

Rio de Janeiro has many great tourist attractions, which is one of the reasons for its worldwide fame as Marvelous City. Keep reading this mini-guide for a quick description of Rio’s five best sites. Not to be missed!

Copacabana

The natural beauty is one of the great things about this city, and our beaches contribute greatly to the success of Rio, both nationally and abroad. Copacabana beach, probably one of the best known beaches in the world, is located in the South Side of the city. Its beauty has become a recurrent motive at stage performances and sports events, but what matters most is that it’s the place of choice for anyone who wants to enjoy the climate of Rio and its immense green sea. The waterfront promenade is known for its Portuguese designs, similar to ocean waves, ideal for cycling and walking.

Take a walk from Tiradentes Square to Praça XV for a living testimony of this great country’s history and a tour of some of Rio’s most beautiful sceneries. Schedule your tour of Praça XV on a Saturday and check out one of the city’s biggest antiques fair, highly recommended for collectors and non-collector. Continue your tour towards Cinelândia, and walk under Arcos da Lapa, Rio’s bohemian epicenter, where you can have a ton of fun at accessible prices.

Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain

Christ Redeemer is one of the world's best-known monuments. Situated on Corcovado Hill, the enormous statue depicts Jesus Christ, with arms wide open over Rio.
