Last year, the festival’s first edition was held at Engenhão, and it was an eclectic and diverse event, with music for allt astes.
Rio VerãoFestival is now on in its second edition, and it’s already part ofthe city’s official calendar. Expect to catch different musical trends and styles on stage. Famous stars in the national and international market are to perform at the festival, such as MichelTeló, the big start of “sertanejo universitário”, the Brazilian country beat that now comes from universities.
For those who like heavier beats, there are two great options. Capital Initial’s sounds rock the night away, and Falcão e o Rappa bring their disruptive style to Apoteose. “Axé” is another music style present at this great festival, as represented by Chiclete com Banana, with Bell Marques and his band. Samba has a special spot in the programming as well, with a concert by Grupo Revelação.
The stage will be the largest ever seen at Praça da Apoteose: music will be playing in a 250 feet wide and 80 feet high plateau, according to the event organizers. Each concert is to last around one hour, and DJs take over the beats in the intermissions. Save your energy for this amazing Summer Festival!
