FIFA (The International Federation of Association Football) hosts their Confederations Cup every four years, and the 9th edition will be held in Brazil in 2013 from June 15th to 30th. Eight teams are part of the soccer championship: the champions of the 2010 World Cup, the six champions of the continent, and Brazil, the host country.
The Confederations Cup will also serve as a test event for World Cup 2014, with eight teams competing over a fortnight in five Brazilian cities.
